I think my *Past* Chair column will get posted to the PPTC website soon and will arrive fairly shortly in your Pedal Patter but the following members received awards at the Annual Meeting last weekend. All of them deserve a big round of applause. Congratulations! The Chair Award went to Marc Currie for his work on the website and for generally working like a dog for the club. The Peter LeGrand Good Shepherd Award went to Cynthia Priddy who always went out of her way for newbies on the Tuesday night rides out of Cameron Park. There were two "Rookie Ride Leaders of the Year" - one was Gerald Chan in Maryland and the other Ron Trueworthy in Virginia. Both lead over 35 rides this year. Denise Cohen received the "Best Original Ride of the Year" award for her "Fall Farm Tour of Montgomery County" ride. Kent Peters received the Century Chair Award because he did an excellent job on the 2007 Century. Also thanks to Bob Bernstein for suggesting the new awards.
