I just got an estimate on a repaint of my 6 year old Serrotta, and the price ($460 + shipping) is not so much of a shock as the time frame, 3 to 3-1/2 months with no guarantee that it would not be longer. This is mainly due to new bikes having priority in the paint shop over old (in other words Serrotta has no regard for old customers). Are there any alternatives for a professional paint job? I would loose all the Serrotta logos. Would I be presumptuous to think that painting a frame is not beyond my own ability? - Joe Morey
