Looking for "Cherry Blossoms by Bike" suggestions

Brenda Ruby, cub reporter here, with my first assignment for Spokes magaine. I'm tasked with writing a "Cherry Blossoms by Bike" article that's supposed to "motivate folks to visit the Nation's Capitol during the most beautiful time of year" while telling the important info of where to park, ride, and what sights not to miss. But frankly...riding the cherry blossoms is somewhat cringe-inducing to me because of the crowds and I vowed years ago never to do it again! I've decided that this could actually be a good hook, rediscovering the joy of riding the Cherry Blossoms, but how??? Thoughts anyone? Anyone you know I should talk to??? Any ways YOU enjoy the blossoms by bike??? If it's not too much trouble, please CC any responses to BRUBY@WOODBINEHOUSE.COM Thank you!

Don't think it's that bad at

Don't think it's that bad at night - the Ohio/Hain's Point circle offers views of tons of cherry trees & is doable. Then why not do it from the VA side of the river on the Mt. Vernon Trail?
