The forums are a great idea and I participate in multiple cycling related forums. The benefits of a forum are not in question.

I must say, however, I think that one of the reasons for less than enthusiastic embrace of these forums is the engine driving them. Seems a bit clunky to me and one that I've not experienced before. There are a few forum engines out there that seem to have a much smoother threading function. For instance, I belong to MORE and their interface seems much more intuitive. And there is one specific example of "clunk" -- can't make a hyperlink in the forum.
