Always be careful on Peach Tree Road, Montg Co

Not really a road conditions post in the strictest sense, but a caution to all regarding the narrow, winding, and shade-darkened portion of Peach Tree Road between Comus and Old Hundred Roads in Montgomery County. When approached from the south (the usual club ride way), this stretch features a 90 degree bend to the left at the bottom of a steep downhill run. This curve often sports a coating of sand and a smattering of gravel, plus a gravel driveway that can fool an approaching cyclist not familiar with the road into thinking it is a continuation of the road. A PPTC rider suffered some minor injuries there on yesterday's CC ride. It's a pretty road, but beware of that little terrain trap!
