I'm new to tandem maintenance, and I'm not sure how to service my timing/sync chain. I had dropped my stoker daughter off at camp and was doing a little extra riding solo the other day and I threw the sync chain. We've only owned the tandem (Co-Motion Periscope 700) a little over a year, and since my daughter is only 5, most of the effort comes through this chain.

Can anyone recommend either a book on tandem maintenance or a local bike shop that normally sees some tandems. I bought the bike up in Mt. Airy and I know American Cycles in Damascus does a lot of tandem work, but they are both pretty far from Bethesda.
