Chapel Hill Estate (1823)

Chapel Hill History

Directly to the northeast of “Old Chapel” is the unique “Chapel Hill” estate. First a part of the “Colony of Virginia and Dominion of the Crown,” it next became part of the oldest state in the new United States. For five years it was within the bounds of the Confederate States before its reunion with the United States.
