Sat Sept 13, 2008. TANDEM - 9:30 am - 42 miles -START: TES - Taneytown E.S. Rolling low traffic ride with lunch in Woodsboro at Trout's Restaurant. Another tandem classic. DIR: TES – Taneytown E.S. Woodboro Loop is a good early season ride--fairly gentle terrain with lunch at Trout's restaurant (used to be Crum's restaurant). DC Capitol Beltway (495). *exit 35 north on 270. Go 32.7 miles through Frederick and I-270 becomes US-40. Go 1.2 miles and *exit 15 north through Thurmont. *exit
140 East at Emmitsburg. Just after Taneytown, go around island and *take Antrim Road West. Go a short distance and *take a right North on Trevanion. *Go two blocks and take a right at Kings Drive and the school is on the left. Kathy and Frank Anders (410/628-4018, velo2.anders@verizon.net)

Sat Sept 20, 2008. Eastern Harford County. 10:00 am - 30 miles. START: Aberdeen P&R (exit 85 from I-95) Ride through eastern Harford County - some rolling, some flat. Take DC Capitol Beltway (495) to north eastern portion and * take exit I-95 JF Kennedy Expressway north toward Baltimore. Go through Baltimore all the way to *Exit 85 MD-22). Sunday, Sept 21, 2008. WABITS RIDE WITHIN A RIDE. Potomac Pedalers Touring Club 100: All types of bikes. Tandem group will ride 50 miles starting at 8:30 AM. Historic Back Roads Century Routes of 24, 50, 62, and 100milesfrom Berryville, VA. Lots of historic sites. Ride back roads. Advanced registration fee of $25 for members / $30 for non-members ($30/$35 on day of ride) includes long-sleeved T-shirt. Start time 7-9AM Route service stops at 6PM. Sunday, September 21, 2008. Tandem * 29, 35 * MD * 10AM * Sherwood Elementary (SES) * 50% Northern Montgomery and Howard Cos. A rolling (read HILLY) ride around the Tridelphia area in Montgomery and Howard counties. The ride leaders will most likely be doing the shorter ride, but cue sheets will be available for those who wish a slightly longer ride. The 29 mile route has one rest stop at about mile 18, the 35 mile ride has one at 24 miles. Save some energy for the climbs back to  Sherwood. A gathering at the Olney Ale House after the ride is possible. Directions: North Central portion of DC Capitol Beltway (495). *take exit 31 (Georgia Avenue) north for 10 miles. In Olney traffic light, *turn right on MD-108 (Olney–Sandy Spring Road). Go 1.8 miles to #1401. School on left. No go if the chance of rain is greater than 50% or the roads are already wet. Saturday, September 27. 11:00am.. 18-30 miles. Fairly flat. Start at North Lake School in Rockville to Olney Ale House for lunch . Return to the School can be extended for those of you who enjoy the challenge of a hill. Rain cancels the ride. Directions: North west portion of the DC Capitol Beltway (495). *Exit north to 270 N. Take Montrose Road exit East toward Rockville. *Bear left on exit to get to Tower Oaks Road. * Left onto Tower Oaks Rd. at light. *Right at Wooton Parkway. The road changes name to First Ave at 355 then to Norbeck Road a little farther on stay on the road. From Rockville Pike, 355, go to the sixth traffic light, Bauer Drive. Left on Bauer past second stop sign, the school is
